December, 1994.... Sacramento CA... 650 paintball players... one big game... hundreds of toys... hundreds of dollars raised with raffled paintball gear... And "Bob's Biz Boys" were in the middle of it all.
For a rundown of what happened, grab the June 1995 issue of Action Pursuit Games magazine, and read up. Note that the Jeep pictured behind CA Landsharks' captain Rob Moon is mine. I've been told that the Jeep also appears in an article about the game that ran in Paintball Sports International Dawn Mills and Steve Mitchell are on the other side of it, but without x-ray vision, you won't see them. Also note that there was a mistake in the captioning, "Tom Sagmiller" is really Ron Tirona of the Nevada Dust Devils.
This years 1996 Toys for Tots benefit promises to be bigger and better than ever. Dawn and I are attending as Oh Powlack's guests this year (I guess that means we're becoming celebrities or sometihng now), and it looks like there will be a big turn out of paintball names. Even "Durty Dan" Leger is planing on coming down from the great white north.
Here are some other pictures from that day that I didn't send to APG.

Steve Mitchell and Tom KayeSteve Mitchell poses for a photo op with Tom Kaye of Airgun Designs, shortly after their discussion about the Warpig paintball page.
Folks from Team InternetHere we are at Paintball Sam's Big Game II. Piled up behind Glenn Palmer's camper are (left to right, top to bottom) Steve Mitchell, Glenn Palmer, Greg "Fish" Nash (making the bunny ears), Rick Murillo, Dawn Mills, and Bill Mills. I wasn't drenched in sweat though, we'd had a bit of a water fight minutes before. Much thanks to Glenn's wife for taking the picture for us. The rest of the Biz Boys in attendance had bailed at this point. It was nice to meet other Team Internet folks face to face. Greg Nash's 100% joking nature doesn't come across in r.s.p. or IRC like it does in person. Glenn Palmer has pretty much the same no-nonsense easy going attitude I expected (not to mention that he missed out on a lot of playing, because I was doing free work on peoples markers), and Ricardo Murillo looks nothing like a Pile of Bricks (where'd that nick come from anyhow?).
Celebrity playersA handful of the celebrity players resting up before the celebrities (about 30) against everyone else (about 650) game at Paintball Sam's Big Game II.
The raffleOn the left is Marty Tripes, in the Middle Oh Powlack, and on the far right Tom Kaye. They are raffling off donated prizes. The proceeds of the raffle, along with hundreds of collected toys went to Toys for Tots.
